      個人簡介
      譚鐵牛,研究員,博士生導師。1984年獲西安交通大學學士學位,1986年和1989年分別獲英國帝國理工學院碩士與博士學位。1989-1997年在英國雷丁大學計算機科學系工作任教。1998年回國到中科院自動化所工作,歷任該所所長助理、所長、模式識別國家重點實驗室主任、中國科學院副秘書長、中國科學院副院長。現為中央人民政府駐香港特別行政區聯絡辦公室副主任、智能感知與計算研究中心主任。2013年當選中國科學院院士、2014年當選英國皇家工程院外籍院士和發展中國家科學院(TWAS)院士,2016年當選巴西科學院通訊院士。
      譚鐵牛博士主要從事圖像處理、計算機視覺和模式識別等相關領域的研究工作,目前的研究主要集中在生物特征識別、圖像視頻理解和信息內容安全等三個方向。他主持過一批由國家基金委、國家杰出青年基金、國家973計劃、863計劃、國際合作計劃等資助的科研項目。現已出版編(專)著14部并在主要的國內外學術期刊和國際學術會議上發表論文600多篇,獲準和申請發明專利100多項。他現為中國人工智能學會副理事長、中國圖象圖形學學會理事長。現為或曾為國際權威期刊《IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence》、《IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering》、《IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security》、《IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology》、《Pattern Recognition》、《Pattern Recognition Letters》等國際學術刊物的編委、《自動化學報》和《International Journal of Automation and Computing》主編。他曾為IEEE生物識別理事會主席,是電子電氣工程師學會(IEEE)的Fellow、國際模式識別學會(IAPR)的Fellow、IAPR-IEEE國際生物識別學術會議(ICB)創始主席(Founding Chair)、亞洲模式識別學術會議(ACPR)創始主席、國際模式識別學會生物識別技術委員會創始主席。他曾獲中國青年五四獎章、中國青年科技獎以及國家自然科學二等獎、國家技術發明二等獎和國家科技進步二等獎各1項。
